Sales Manager - FiltrationJob Summary
Imerys is hiring a Sales Manager for our Filtration business who will play a key role in driving business growth through strategic account planning and effective sales of our diverse product portfolio within the filtration markets. This dynamic position involves leading and coordinating the entire sales process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to innovation priorities in assigned market segments.
Location: Home-based, Midwest or East Coast (near a major airport)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop account strategies to maximize business growth and meet customer's needs by selling the Imerys portfolio of products into the filtration markets.
Plan, lead, and coordinate the sales process from prospecting to closing contracts, working across a cross functional team (S&OP, Operations, Logistics, Product Management, Technical, Customer Service and Science & Technology).
Articulate the value of new opportunities and strategic fit.
Prepare budget and sales forecasts and provide accurate data into the S&OP process.
Understand the competitive environment and predict competitive responses to strategic tactics, i.e. price increases; product offerings.
Plays an active role in driving innovation priorities for assigned market segments and defining longer-term growth needs.
Manage the relationship with the customer, build and maintain strong relationships with strategic buyers and key influencers/advisors across the customer's organization.
Understand the “voice of the customer” and share insights with key internal stakeholders.
Proactively update CRM to manage and organize opportunity pipeline, call reports, complaint management, and pricing processes.
Identify and attend key industry related conferences.
Key Competencies
Experience must reflect a keen sense of urgency to making things happen through effective planning; and the commitment to monitor, control, follow-up and take corrective actions.
Self motivated, takes an active approach to generating new sales and is not afraid to “cold call” customers.
Strong technical background, with the ability to understand how our products add value to the customer
Excellent presentation and communication skills across all levels of an organization
Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision
Ideal background / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in sales, technical and business development
Knowledge of Industrial markets and B2B sales
Ability to travel 50-60%, as needed
